I want to lose weight because I am sick of using it to hide behind. Growing up I had a physically and sexually abusive step-father. I used food hoping that it would hide me and make me unattractive. It didn't work. Then I wanted boys my own age to notice me, so I changed who I was to get noticed. Now my weight and my eating are just a horrible habits that I am ready to change. After having two kids and eating horribly for 20 years I am not happy with the person I have become on the outside. I have the perfect life in every way, except this one. I am ready to show the world who I really am!
The contest is over so now the battle continues for us. The Million Pound MatchUp was a great motivator to get on the right path. So now it just staying the course to healthier and happier lives. We will do it and hope that everyone who has started to change their lives stays on the path as well. We have come too far to turn back now. Good luck everyone!

Day 98
Frances came up yesterday. We agree that we are bored and in a slump, but we are not giving up. I actually had a good day today. I ate well and I exercised. I am proud of today. I am looking forward to taking it day by day. I am back on track.

Begining Stats and Plan of Attack
Why now? Why with the Million pound Challenge? Both great questions. Aimee and I met 18 years ago and have grown together to become more than just Best Friends. We became to each other the sister that we never had. The shoulder that we knew would always be there even when we thought things could not get any worse. Although our family lives growing up were quite different; the one thing that we have always had in common was our obsession with our weight and the struggle to find a way to be good enough to meet the expectations we put on ourselves.

Reduce and count calories, portion control, making good choices and lots of exercise
Goals:
To loose 75-80 lbs. in 2008
To be healthy and at my ideal weight for my body
To deal with the emotional baggage once and for all
To win the Biggest Loser Million Pound Match-Up

Frances' Plan of Attack:
To eat 5 times a day, to work on my core strength with Pilates and cardio training, ride my bike to work my legs.
Goals:
To get to my ideal weight for my health.
To gain strength in my core muscles to help keep my T.O.S. in check.
To not let the physical limitations from my T.O.S. frustrate me to the point of giving up.
Regain enough upper body strength to be able to go dirtbiking with Neil again.
To keep my Dr's blessing to allow me to exersise on my own without a Physical Therapist.
To win the Biggest Loser Million Pound Match-Up.
Aimée is a Domestic Engineer who lives in San Jose, CA with her husband Greg and 2 kids Noah and Abigail. Frances is a Real Estate Agent who lives in Salinas,CA with her father in law Don, husband Neil, their dog Foxy and turtle... Ms. Turtle. We have been friends for 18 years and attached at the hip for 16 of those. We set up this site because we are entering The Biggest Loser Million Pound Matchup presented by MSN NBC. We have been through a lot as best friends and with the new year we knew it was the perfect time to make some life changing decisions.
Another week flown by..... Both Frances and Aimee stayed the same this week. We are both looking to change things up a bit. Getting a little bored and comfortable in our routines. Hope next week we see a change.
So we both stayed the same for the week. Aimee was struck with the horrible flu that is going around and I hit some issues at the end of the week. We both have vowed to work harder this week since we are both feeling better. We are both trying to figure out how we are in week 11 already. This year is flying by way too fast. We know the contest is coming to an end but we are looking forward to keeping our site up and getting healthier by the day. We know we can will reach our ultimate goal of dropping the weight and never picking it up again.
Another week flying by us. We can't believe that there is only one week left in this competition. We both have agreed we are not going to quit after this thing is over. We like the way we are feeling and looking too much to quit now. Besides, neither of us are at our goals.
Aimee's Stats: No loss of pounds or inches.
Frances' Stats: Lost 2 pounds Lost .25 inches off arms
Go us for the last week and good luck to everyone in this with us!
Another week has flown by. Both Frances and Aimee have been having some struggles lately for different reasons. Both of us have had some bumps in the road and been able to recover from them. That is the key. We have both not given up and are still in the battle. We have to stay focused on that and not on the difficulties. We need to take the wins and not the loses. Here are the results:
Aimee's Stats:
Lost 1 pound Lost 1 inch from chest Lost 1 inch from thighs Everything else the same
Frances' Stats: Everything the same
Here is to more weight loss next week! Keep it up everyone!
Another week just flew by for Frances and Aimee. We both lost our groove this week. Frances because she has been sick and Aimee because she has been busy and using it as an excuse to be lazy. We are both looking to find our groove again this week and start exercising.
Aimee's Stats: Pounds : 186 lost 2 pounds this week Lost 1 inch from chest. Everything else the same.
